About Chris Burkhard
I am Chris Burkhard, an entrepreneur from the mid-atlantic region of the US. I live in Elkton, Maryland. Serve the business community in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and beyond. I have grown up in the “family business” from a father who is the ultimate serial entrepreneur. My family is in the restaurant business, trash services, and many others and we always do well by focusing the entire business on the customer and by knowing how to make money in a small business environment. Along the way I have tried everything and have much to share around building a company, leadership, developing customers and sales and building a culturally led business. Why culture? High productivity. Higher levels of engagement. And a more natural work environment.
My current company is CBI Group, a recruitment solutions company located in Newark, Delaware while serving a national customer base. CBI Group provides me the format to help customers and observe the “good, the bad and the ugly” on the topics I have a passion to write about!
My passions are my work and my family. My wife Kim of 16 years is my soul mate and source of strength through it all. We always talk about the long journey together and enjoying the ride. I always wanted to be a park ranger; until I thought about living on 12k a year. Today I spend as much time on the trail as possible backpacking and hiking with my dog Tessie. I live to travel and love Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Ocean City, New Jersey and Block Island, Rhode Island the best!
